Lafayette North Public Market

project description

This vibrant commercial food hall on Lafayette’s North Public Road brings presence to the busy intersection and acts as a gateway to the town’s vibrant food and retail scene. At the rear of the property all of the creature comforts are provided for a dazzling dining experience; complete with a lounge with walk up bar, kids play area, and food truck. The food truck operates as a restaurant incubator - showcasing new restaurant concepts.

With multiple food vendors, including a delightful ice cream stand with walk-up service window, this food hall becomes a culinary locale.

At the interior the central dining room and bar are flanked by a quick service restaurant, arcade, and ice cream shop. Above the central dining space a compound butterfly ceiling with clerestory windows bringing lots of light to the middle of the building. This unique design not only adds visual drama but also an open, airy atmosphere for a vibrant, communal dining experience.

A commitment to sustainability is woven into the fabric of the food hall, featuring energy-efficient design and on-site solar PV to substantially reduce energy consumption.
