Lafayette North Public Market

project description

Anchoring the corner of North Public Road, this lively food hall serves as a welcoming gateway to Lafayette’s vibrant culinary and retail district. Designed as both a community hub and a destination, it blends local flavor with elevated design to create an experience that’s as dynamic as it is inviting.

At the rear of the property, a generous outdoor dining area brings people together with a lounge and walk-up bar, children’s play zone, and an on-site food truck that doubles as a restaurant incubator—showcasing emerging culinary concepts. Inside, a bright, open dining room and central bar are flanked by quick-service eateries, an arcade, and an ice cream shop with a playful walk-up window.

A sculpted butterfly roof and clerestory windows flood the interior with daylight, creating a sense of openness and connection. Thoughtful sustainability measures— including energy-efficient systems and on-site solar PV—underscore a design that celebrates both community and environmental stewardship.
